central stay near great parks and bustling cafés for city strolls
during my short stay, i found the nearby parks like highfields and west park perfect for leisurely walks and enjoying nature. There were plenty of cozy cafés like a starbucks just a few steps away for coffee breaks, making my city exploration all the more enjoyable. the hotel itself had a nice pool and friendly staff which was a plus for a weekend traveler like me, but the cleanliness in certain areas could use some attention for a better overall experience.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfy, which is always a plus! There were loads of towels and plenty of plug sockets, making it convenient. Plus, the location was nice and quiet, so I got a good night's sleep. But I did notice some cobwebs and a bit of a musty smell, which wasn't great. it was fine, just could use a little touch-up in the cleaning department.

Great Experience with Minor Flaws
Enjoyed a spacious club room with a powerful shower. The self check-in process was seamless, enhancing our stay. The hot breakfast buffet featured delicious bacon, though scrambled eggs could be improved. For a lovely evening, try the mushroom sauce chicken dish—we loved it!

missingWrote a review on Sept 25spacious roomfriendly staffpoor foodnoise issue
The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Check-in was awkward with a self-service kiosk that felt chaotic. I had to memorize my room number, which isn’t great late at night. The room itself was spacious, but the soundproofing was terrible. I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, music and all. The breakfast options were limited. they even ran out of bacon one morning! On the bright side, the pool area is nice and well-maintained. The staff, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed and unengaged. Access to local amenities was great, and the overall cleanliness was decent, but it didn't compensate for the other issues I faced during my stay.

would definitely go back
The room was spacious and modern, featured a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and free toiletries. Great amenities like a flat-screen TV and a coffee machine made it comfy. the indoor swimming pool and available fitness classes were a nice touch. Breakfast had a good variety, especially the freshly baked pastries.

Couple looking for a decent escape
The staff were friendly and checked if we could get an earlier room which was great, but sadly there wasn’t one, it shows they care.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but you know. it was still acceptable.

I enjoyed my stay at the Village Hotel, where the spacious double room offered comfort despite the limited dining options. The friendly staff were a highlight, always eager to assist. breakfast wait times could be improved.

The swimming pool offers a fantastic temperature for a good workout. It stays open until 10 PM for late-night swims. The grill serves up delicious food options, with fresh salads giving a nice touch, and the happy hour deal on fizz is a steal.
Checking in was a mess, with self-service screens malfunctioning and creating a crowd at the front desk. My room suffered from cold temperatures and noisy HVAC, making it hard to get comfortable. The lighting was subpar, leaving the room dim and uninviting, which isn’t great for those of us who need a little brightness after a long day. Breakfast was frustrating too—long wait times and missing plates, not to mention that the vegetarian options were lacking and the overall quality could definitely use a lift.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, enjoying the clean facilities and comfortable beds. The kids loved the modern leisure club, especially the pool. Plus, it was perfect for our family offering easy access to Nottingham's attractions, making our visit truly enjoyable with our small baby.
My kids wished there were more family-friendly dining options. It would be great to have a dedicated kids menu.

Had an awesome stay with my friends! Enjoyed the pool and gym facilities, which were fantastic. We checked out the major museums and galleries nearby, making our trip even better. Just a heads up, breakfast was excellent, but parking can be tricky later in the day—get there early for a spot!
Had a bit of a hassle with the electronic check-in system. it felt chaotic and led to a long wait before getting our room. Staff didn’t seem particularly engaged, which put a damper on the experience.
