stylish and use of facillities
we did complain about the food which was not very good
It is very good for families or groups with children. Theres a choice of things to do which keeps everyone busy.
the rooms were nicely laidout, the swimming pool was lovely, the bar men were very helpful, the breakfast was lovely.
i found other people in my room! i have complained but they have not even appologised, i was told we were walking distance to town, in total we paid 85 pound in taxi;s, i was not happy with the stay?
Pool area, spacious foyer. Nice looking hotel from the outside
Lack of food/vening machines after 23:00. Breakfast not very tasty compared to most other hotels unfortunately. Not that much variety of cold choices.
Hi I found all of the staff very pleasant and helpful.
It was a very pleasent stay and good value for money
The restaraunt food was very good quality and excellent value for money
It was a relaxing room, the bed was excellant. We needed to recharge our batteries and this was made easy with the pool and facilities. Have given brouchure too friends and will be trying other village hotels in the future.
Small amount of black mould around bath and no complimentary gel in container.
It was convenient for what we wanted to do. The hotel was big but still comfortable and friendly.
Only thing I didn't like was the seating arrangements in the dinning room for two people. The tables were around the edge of the raised area which received most of the service. We were nearly at the end of our breakfast before we able to see anyone to ask for tea.The poor waiter was asked by about 6 tables at the same time for tea/coffee and had to have help carrying it all back. There need to be staff catering for the tables around the edge.
Reataurant provided well cooked / presented food
The night manager Colin, was very friendly and showed me around on my first visit 2 months ago. It was what I had been looking for in a place to stay on business every 2 - 3 weeks. Previously I had stayed in a Holiday Inn Express which although budget was not value for money
The food in the restaurant was lovely but the service during my stay was shocking. The staff seemed short-staffed and were very over busy meaning there was no attentivemess. This was frustrating as between courses was a delay. On one occassion I was asked if I wanted some salad dressing - 20 minutes later I had to ask again and virtually got it myself. My meal was deducted from my bill as a gesture of good will however I am doubtful if I will use the restaurant again. It took over 2 hours to have my meal and when you are staying on your own is an eternity!! I will be back to the Hotel however.
Booking in took 1 hour in a queue, late for family do.
Really good gym facilities.
Hard beds, & trolleys being trundled around outside the room before 7 a.m. disturbing one's sleep.(laundry we suspect) No airconditioning, although the control switch was still on the wall. No extractor fan in bathroom, and noisy piping as other rooms showered in the mornings.
The Receptionist was very helpful. The first room offered faced onto a brick wall. She offered us another room and said that to check it and if I didn't like it she would find me another. The pool was lovely and the gym looked good. We used the healthworks spa which was good too.
Room quality was poor. Tatty paintwork and felt shabby and tired. No information Food in the Verve grill was disappointing - overcooked steak (I asked for rare and it was well done) and soggy chips. I didn't complain as we were with friends. Only saving grace was the very helpful student waiter.
Superb location for the event I was attending, great gym and lovely breakfast
